(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), with the investigative support of the Grey County OPP Crime Unit and the Forensic Identification Services Unit (Mount Forest), are investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred at a residence on Hwy. 10, south of Markdale, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. Officers responded to the residence just before 9:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2016 after receiving a 911 call for assistance.
Investigation at this time reveals that three male suspects wearing black clothing and balaclavas entered the residence through an unlocked door. Once inside, the suspects confronted the home owners and demanded cash. The suspects fled the residence with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The victims, an adult male and his wife, suffered minor injuries. They attended the hospital as a precaution and were released.
