(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – A 57-year-old male from Kincardine has been charged with Impaired Driving & Drive Motor Vehicle Over 80 Milligrams following a traffic stop that took place on January 31, 2016. Shortly before 5:00 p.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a call concerning a motorist that was driving in an erratic manner on Amberley Road. Officers were nearby and within a few minutes they spotted the suspect vehicle, a Dodge Ram pickup, travelling westbound on Amberley Road. A traffic stop was initiated and the vehicle was subsequently stopped just west of Bluevale on Amberley Road.
Upon stopping the driver the officers noted the driver had been drinking alcohol and was displaying several signs that his ability to drive was impaired by alcohol. As a result, the driver was placed under arrest for Impaired Driving. He was then transported to the Huron OPP Detachment where he provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician. Both samples registered over the legal limit.
As a result, 57-year-old Dean NETZKE from Kincardine has been charged with Impaired Driving & Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on March 7, 2016. He was served with a 90 day automatic driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
