(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) – On February 13, 2016 at approximately 9:30 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) together with the Chatsworth Fire Department and Grey County Paramedic Services (EMS) responded to a structure fire on Mill Rd. near Hamilton Rd., in the Township of Chatsworth.
The structure, which was destroyed by the fire, was described as an older two storey farm house which had been undergoing renovations.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office was called to assist after the home-owner’s vehicle was found at the scene but no contact was made with the owner.
On the morning of February 14th, police made contact with the home-owner who had been out of town visiting family.
The cause of the fire is undetermined but does not appear to be suspicious.
There were no injuries reported.
