Man Stabbed In Neck

On February 16, 2016 at approximately 5:30 p.m. the Brantford Police Service received a telephone call reporting a man had been stabbed in the neck on Alfred Street. The victim was bleeding profusely from his neck and officers found the male on the sidewalk out front of an apartment at 3 Alfred Street. The male was taken to BGH where he was assessed to be in stable condition.

The victim has now been transported to a hospital in Hamilton for continued treatment and continues to remain in stable condition.

The victim is being unco-operative with police and Detectives from the Major Crime unit continue their investigation.

The Brantford Police remain on Alfred Street, securing the crime scene as Detectives obtain a warrant to enter an apartment inside the Alfred Street apartment complex. It is believed that a scuffle took place inside one of the apartments.

There have been no arrests at this time and no motive confirmed at this time. Initial investigation suggests this incident was not a random attack.
