(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On February 17, 2016, a Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) member was conducting speed enforcement on Grey Road 16 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs when he observed a black Dodge Ram pick-up truck driving well over the posted 80 km/h speed limit.
The truck proceeded to overtake another vehicle and then slowed down to a speed of 129 km/h at which time the cruiser’s radar was locked in.
20-year old Troy Alexander ELLIS, of the Township of Southgate, was issued a Part III Summons for stunt driving under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA). The vehicle was impounded for seven days and his driver’s licence was suspended for seven days.
A court date of March 21, 2016 has been set to speak to the charge in Owen Sound.
