On February 23, 2016 at 4:10 a.m., police were called to the intersection of King Street and Lowther Street in the City of Cambridge regarding a male brandishing a knife and approaching passing vehicles. Upon police arrival this male was observed in the middle of Westminster Drive acting in an unusual manner. The 24 year old Cambridge male was arrested and held for a bail hearing. During the arrest, both the accused and a police officer received minor injuries. Due to the circumstances, the SIU was notified and invoked their mandate.
