(LISTOWEL, ON) – A cyclist with outstanding warrants was arrested during the early morning hours of October 2, 2019 in the Municipality of North Perth.
Members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) North Perth detachment responded to the report of a suspicious person on a bicycle at approximately 12:30 a.m., in Listowel.
Police responded quickly and observed a person on a bicycle and they were identified by police as having outstanding warrants in Huron County.
Jeff COUTO, 33-years-old, with no fixed address was arrested and charged with;
Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
Cyclist – fail to identify self
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on November 4, 2019 to answer the charges.
The accused was transported to Huron County OPP.
The Perth County OPP reminds residents to contact police should suspicious activity be taking place in their neighbourhood.
