Police Investigating Fatal ATV Collision CK16005079

At 2:43 a.m. this morning, police responded to an ATV collision on Block Line east of Victoria Road.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the man was riding his ATV southbound in a field when he crossed Block Line and struck the ditch embankment.

The 21-year-old Sarnia man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Break and Enter in Ridgetown CK16005082

Sometime between February 29, 2016 at 11:00 p.m. and March 1, 2016 at 3:30 a.m. unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked garage on York Street. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a Lenovo laptop, men’s wallet, alcohol, pack of Muskoka homemade cigarettes and pack of Colts cigars.

Motor Vehicle Collision in Wallaceburg CK16005022

Shortly after 10:30 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Murray Street near Baseline Road.

No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $1000.

A 67-year-old Dresden man was charged with an offence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

Motor Vehicle Collision in Ridgetown CK16005032

Just before 1:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Walnut Street near York Street. The driver lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway and struck a hydro pole.

Luckily, the driver was not injured. Total damage was estimated at $4000.

The driver was charged with careless driving.
