On Saturday the 27th of February 2016, at 11:45 pm., An 18 year old Wellesley Township women, driving a 2005 Acura TL was followed at speeds of 160 km/hr in the 90 km/hr zone on Highway 7/8. In addition, the driver was aggressively changing between lanes and failing to signal when doing so. A traffic officer stopped the vehicle without incident and the driver was immediately arrested for stunt driving. The woman has been charged with Stunt driving, Speeding and had her vehicle seized for 7 days and her driver’s license suspended for the same amount of time. If convicted the driver could face a fine of $10,000 and a further driver license suspension. Waterloo Regional Police would like to remind drivers of the importance of road safety.
