WARD, HILLIER, TOWER, VANARKEL Charged In Break And Enter – WARD Wanted By Police

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) – On Saturday January 30, 2016, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a gated rental storage facility east of Stratford where the caller reported his storage unit broken into and $20,000 worth of motorcycles and motorcycle parts stolen.

The Perth County OPP and the OPP Forensic Investigation Services together with the assistance of the Waterloo Regional Police were able to determine the identity of the responsible individuals.

Investigation revealed that the storage facility had been entered during the early hours of Monday January 11, 2016. It was determined that some of the stolen property had been taken to a location in Kitchener. On February 13, 2016 a search warrant was executed at a Wilhelm Street address in Kitchener resulting in the recovery of approximately half of the stolen property.

As a result of this investigation, 40-year-old Ashley Allen HILLIER of Kitchener, 42-year-old Daniel Wesley TOWER of Kitchener, 31-year-old Tyson R. VANARKEL of Stratford, and 26-year-old Jessica Ward of no fixed address, have all been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offence:

Break, enter a place – commit indictable offence.

Ashley Allen HILLIER and Tyson R. VANARKEL face an additional Criminal Code of Canada charge of:

Fail to comply with recognizance

Daniel Wesley TOWER faces an additional Criminal Code of Canada charge of:

Fail to comply with probation order

Ashley Allen HILLIER and Tyson R. VANARKEL have been ordered to appear at the Stratford Court of Justice on Monday March 07, 2016 to answer to their charges.

Daniel Wesley TOWER remains in custody, a future court date for him will be determined at a later date.
