On March 8, 2016 at approximately 1:00pm, officers from the Owen Sound Police Service Drug Unit assisted by officers from the Criminal Investigations Branch and the Community Oriented Response and Enforcement Unit (CORE) arrested a male and female as they left an east side motel. The arrest was the result of an investigation into methamphetamine trafficking in the city.
As a result of the arrest, the officers seized methamphetamine, cocaine, drug packaging, scales and over $2000.00 in cash.
Justin HILLIER 27 years and Lisa PHARAND 34 years of Owen Sound have been charged with:
Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possession of Proceeds of Crime
Both have been held in custody and will appear in Bail Court at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on March 9, 2016.
