(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) – On March 12, 2016 at approximately 9:51 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated an assault which had occurred as a result of road rage in the Township of Chatsworth.
The victim was operating his vehicle northbound on Hwy. 6 into the village of Chatsworth where he pulled into the Esso gas station located on Garafraxa Street. There, he was confronted by a driver operating a 2004 Pontiac Vibe vehicle that had pulled up next to him and began yelling profanities at him. He proceeded to follow the victim into the service station. After a brief verbal altercation, the victim was assaulted. The suspect returned to his vehicle and left the scene. The 20-year old male victim from the Township of Chatsworth had sustained minor injuries as a result of the assault.
Grey County OPP located the suspect in Owen Sound later that day.
31-year old Shawn Larry SKELTON of Fort Erie, Ontario was charged with assault. He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on April 14, 2016.
