(MUNICIPALITY OF SOUTH HURON, ON) – On Sunday evening March 13, 2016, Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to a rural residence on Blackbush Line (south west of Dashwood) where the homeowners discovered a break-in and theft.
Investigation revealed that sometime between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Sunday March 13, 2016, unknown suspect(s) entered onto the victim’s property and gained entry into a locked shop. The suspect(s) removed the following items from the shop:
-2 Husqvarna chainsaws
-1 Pressure washer
-1 Battery charger
-1 Stihl hedge trimmer
-1 Stihl weed eater
The victim’s black 2011 Chevrolet pickup truck that had been parked in front of the shop was also taken. The suspect(s) located the keys for the pickup truck inside the shop and drove it away in an unknown direction.
Description of pickup truck:
-Black 2011 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck
-Has a king-cab, “Rough Country” decal on the top of the front windshield, fender flares, a 4” lift, chrome grill, and a browning sticker on the rear of the truck.
-The truck had Ontario licence plates AJ98064 .
