(CHESLEY, ON) – On March 16, 2016 at 9:34 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an overnight vehicle entry from a residence along 2nd Street south west in Chesley. Between 6:30 p.m. on March 15, 2016 and 7:30 a.m., on March 16, 2016, a GPS unit and a quantity of change was taken from a parked vehicle.
The South Bruce OPP wants to remind vehicle owners about the Lock it or Lose it initiative to help protect their vehicle and their property from theft:
Always roll up your vehicle’s windows. Lock the door and pocket the key
If you have a garage, use it. Lock the door and the vehicle
Always park in a well-lit area
Never leave valuables/valuable objects in plain sight
