On Tuesday April 12th, 2016 at 3:10 a.m., police were conducting proactive uniformed patrol in the Glasgow and Park Streets, in the city of Kitchener. Officers attempted to stop on a black Honda accord but the vehicle fled without stopping. Minutes later police were able to stop the vehicle on a dead end street near uptown Waterloo. A 23 year old passenger from Kingston was found in possession of a prohibited weapon (knife), and crystal methamphetamine having a street value of approximately $1,000. She faces numerous other criminal charges. The driver, a 20 year old Kitchener female was charged with flight from police, breach probation and possession of a controlled substance.
