Arson – Disregard For Human Life Charge Laid In Residential Fire

As a result of the investigation into the residential fire on McNaughton Avenue, in the city of Cambridge on April 6, 2016, Daniel MARJADSINGH and Heather OCHOA have been charged with Arson – Disregard for Human Life, Arson – Damage to Property, Production of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance. They were both tenants of the building. This was a joint investigation between Waterloo Regional Divisional Detectives, Waterloo Regional Police Drug Branch and the Ontario Fire Marshalls Office. No one was seriously injured from the fire however, it has caused 4 people to be displaced.

On April 6 2016 shortly before 11:00 p.m., emergency services were called to a residential fire on Mcnaughton Street in the city of Cambridge. Cambridge Fire Department worked for several hours to extinguish the fully engulfed, multi-dwelling home. There were no injuries as a result of this fire.
