(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On April 20, 2016 at approximately 1:30 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on Concession 1 SCD in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
Police attended and located the suspect vehicle, a 2005 Dodge Ram pick-up truck parked and idling in the middle of the road. A lone male who had been drinking and showed signs of impairment was observed standing next to the vehicle. He indicated to police that the driver had fled the scene. After further investigation, he was found to be the driver of the pick-up truck.
The male was arrested for impaired care and control of a motor vehicle and transported to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for breath tests where his blood alcohol content was found to be more than three times the legal limit.
29-year old Andrew Timothy PRIEBE of the Township of Chatsworth was charged with impaired care and control of a motor vehicle and care and control – over 80 milligrams.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on May 5, 2016.
