(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) – On Thursday April 21, 2016, shortly before 10 a.m., an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer conducting speed enforcement on Perth Line 44 east of Bornholm pulled over a fast moving motor vehicle.
A blue Toyota Yaris was observed driving on Perth Line 44, east of Road 155 at a high rate of speed. The officer activated the police radar and a reading of 143 km/h was displayed. This is 63 km/h above the posted 80 km/h zone.
The female driver of the Yaris, 69-year-old Janie SUTHERLAND of the Municipality of Central Huron was issued a summons for “race a motor vehicle”. She is to appear in Stratford Court on May 10, 2016, to answer to this charge.
