Man Charged with Theft CK16011836

On July 27, 2015, the man was released from custody with several conditions. Two of those conditions stated that he was to obey a daily curfew of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. and not consume alcohol.

Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a theft complaint on Park Street in Chatham. The homeowner reported that sometime overnight between 3:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. unknown suspect(s) stole her patio set consisting of a glass table and four chairs.

Through investigation, police obtained video surveillance footage from the area and the man responsible was identified.

Shortly after 3:30 p.m. police located the man and he was arrested. Upon being searched incident to arrest, an odour of an alcoholic beverage was detected on his breath.

Kevin Parker, 49 years, of Queen Street in Chatham was charged with theft under $5000 and two counts of failing to comply. He was released pending a future court date of May 13, 2016.

Man Charged with Failing to Comply CK16011840

On February 26, 2016 the man was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was not to possess any weapon as defined by the Criminal Code.

Yesterday morning, just before 9:00 a.m. police responded to Walmart on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg in regards to a trespassing complaint. An employee stated that the man whom had previously been verbally trespassed was back in the store.

Officers located the man and he was arrested. Upon being searched incident to arrest, the man was found to be in possession of a pair of box cutters in his back pocket.

The 23-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with failing to comply. He was transported to the court house pending a bail hearing.

Break and Enter in Chatham CK16011842

Sometime between April 30, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. and May 2, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. unknown suspect(s) entered the fenced property of Maple City Marine on Grand Avenue East causing about $200 damage.

Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a 250HP outboard Yamaha motor, 200HP outboard Yamaha motor and 175HP outboard Yamaha motor. Total value of the theft is estimated at $60,000.

Motor Vehicle Collision CK16011877

Around 12:50 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Dufferin Avenue near Selkirk Street in Wallaceburg.

Minor injuries were reported. Total damage was estimated at $35,000.

A 68-year-old Wallaceburg woman was charged with disobeying a red light.

Motor Vehicle Collision CK16011880

Shortly after 1:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Smoke Line near Kent Bridge Road. The driver of a transport truck lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and came to rest in the ditch. Luckily, he was not injured.

Total damage was estimated at $10,000.

The 55-year-old Windsor man was charged with careless driving.

At 7:30 p.m. last night, emergency crews responded to a three vehicle collision on Lacroix Street near Richmond Street in Chatham.

Minor injuries were reported. Total damage was estimated at $26,000.

An 18-year-old Dresden man was charged with disobeying a red light.
