On Tuesday May 31st, 2016 at approximately 5:40 pm Owen Sound Police attended a car versus motorcycle collision at the intersection of 4 th Avenue and 14 th Street West. Both the car and motorcycle were northbound on 4 th Avenue West in the left turn lane at the intersection when the car driver decided he wanted to be in the thru lane. The car driver, a 20 year old Oakville man, proceeded to reverse his vehicle in order to change lanes backing into and over the motorcycle.
Neither driver sustained any injuries however the 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle received heavy damage.
The male driver of the car was charged with several offences under the Highway Traffic Act.
