Prohibited Driver Caught Again – Glen STORY

(HURON EAST, ON) – A 54-year-old from Wilmot Township is facing criminal charges stemming from a traffic stop that occurred a couple weeks ago just outside of Seaforth.

Shortly before 2:00 p.m. on November 27, 2019 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a call about a possible impaired driver driving around in Seaforth. Officers immediately responded and began patrolling for the suspect vehicle. Approximately a half-hour later an OPP officer spotted the suspect vehicle at the intersection of Front Road and MacPherson Avenue.

Upon stopping and speaking with the driver the investigating officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol and was displaying several signs of impairment. The driver was arrested for impaired driving and was transported to the Exeter OPP Detachment for breath tests. Both of his tests were found to be above the legal limit. Further investigation revealed the driver was currently prohibited from driving due to a previous conviction, furthermore, his vehicle was found to be uninsured.

As a result, Glen STORY, 54 years of age, from Wilmot Township has been charged with Operation While Impaired, Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus, Prohibited Driving and Operate a Motor Vehicle on a Highway – No Insurance. He was later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for January 13, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
