On Saturday June 18th at approximately 12:30 p.m. Police investigated a collision at the intersection of Water Street North and Dayton Street in the city of Cambridge. The collision occurred when a Chevrolet sedan travelling southbound on Water Street struck a stopped Waterloo Regional Police SUV. The collision caused the officer, a 16 year member of the service to sustain minor injuries but did not require immediate medical attention. As a result of the investigation a 57 Elmira male was charged with careless driving and having improper tires. He was not injured.
