Man arrested and charged after breaking and entering into Canadian Tire

On Friday June 24, 2016, just shortly after 1:00am, Hamilton Police officers responded to the Canadian Tire situated at 686 Queenston Road after receiving reports of an audible alarm.

It was further indicated that a suspect was present in the area.

The officers were alerted to an area in which they believed the suspect entered through in order to gain entry into the store. They were able to gain access into the store, where they located a man who was dressed in black clothing and ferociously filling a bag containing the stores merchandise.

The officers were able to arrest the man and transport him into custody.

Over $10,000 of store merchandise was recovered.

CHARGED: Cameron MACLEAN, 36 year old man from Hamilton

CHARGES: Break and Enter – Commit, Possession Over $5000, Fail to Comply with Probation

The man will appear before the courts to answer to these charges.
