On the evening of Thursday, the 24th of June 2016, the intersection of Bridge Street and Puddicombre Road in Wilmot Township was closed for several hours due to a collision between a pickup truck and motorcycle. At approximately 7:30 p.m., a 48 year old New Hamburg man was operating his 2015 Suzuki motorcycle southbound on Puddicombe Road. He was slowing down or at a full stop waiting to turn left onto Bridge Street, when he was rear-ended by a grey Ford F150 pickup truck being driven by a 32 year old female from Plattsville. The motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries and was air lifted to hospital. Police were on scene for several hours reconstructing the collision and ask anyone that saw the collision to call Waterloo Regional Police at 519-653-7700.
