Teen Pedestrians Struck In Crosswalk

Location: KING ST E and FAIRWAY RD N, KITCHENER ON Canada

On Friday June 24th, 2016 at approximately 12:35 p.m., a collision took place at the intersection of Fairway Road and King Street, Kitchener. An eastbound motor vehicle collided with two southbound pedestrians within the crosswalk. The motor vehicle had the right of way and the pedestrians were facing a red light and a don’t walk signal. The motor vehicle was driven by a 56 year old Kitchener resident. The two pedestrians both from Cambridge are 18 years old, and were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Any witnesses that police have not yet spoken to asked to call Traffic Services at 519-653-7700 ext 8857 as the investigation continues.
