On July 8, 2016 at 9:26 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a two vehicle collision at Silvercreek Parkway North and Greengate Road. It is alleged that the collision occurred when a motor vehicle turned left at the intersection colliding the other oncoming vehicle. There were multiple occupants in the vehicles including children. Three injuries were reported, two minor and one possible broken arm. Both vehicles received extensive front end damage.
The driver of the vehicle that made the turning movement was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with turn not in safety.
A passenger in the other vehicle was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with passenger fail to properly wear seatbelt.
