(LUCAN BIDDULPH, ON) – On July 3, 2016, at approximately 7:40 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were alerted to a possible impaired driver, travelling southbound on Richmond Street.
Officers located the motor vehicle, a white Hyundai car, on Richmond Street, near Clandeboye Drive, and initiated a traffic stop. They determined that the 27-year-old female driver had been drinking alcohol, and administered a roadside screening device, which registered a “fail”. The driver was placed under arrest, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for further breath testing, which revealed she had consumed more than twice the legal limit of alcohol.
As a result of the police investigation, Hannah BLACK, from Saugeen Shores, Ontario, has been charged with driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to answer the charge in a London court on August 29, 2016.
