25 Year Old Suspended Driver From Kincardine Caught Going 112 in an 80

(CALEDON, ON) – On Wednesday, July 13, 2016, an officer from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting radar enforcement on Dixie Road, north of Mayfield Road. The officer observed a grey GMC Sienna at a high rate of speed and determined the vehicle speed to be 112 km/hr. in an 80 km/hr. zone. Subsequently, the officer conducted a traffic stop.

As a result of the stop, Charles, Walter, Joseph VAILLANCOURT, 25, from Kincardine was charged with the following:

Adult Driving while Disqualified

Adult Driving while under Suspension

Adult Speeding

Adult Class G1 licence holder – unaccompanied by qualified driver

Adult Drive Motor Vehicle not equipped with an approved ignition interlock device

The vehicle was impounded for 45 days as a result of the suspension driving charge.

The driver is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on September 8, 2016.
