On July 24, 2016 at approximately 9:20 PM, a vehicle travelling on Yorkshire Street, struck a 10 year old boy, who was skateboarding on the side of the street. The youth was thrown approximately ten to fifteen feet through the air before landing on the road. He suffered a broken leg from the collision and was transported to Guelph General Hospital for treatment. Police attended to the collision to investigate. The driver of the involved vehicle, a 22 year old Guelph man, was arrested and charged for Drive Over 80 causing bodily harm. He will appear in court on August 9th, 2016
