Police Still Looking For Blue 2003 Dodge Caravan With Rusty Bottom Stolen From Hensall

(BLUEWATER, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers continue to investigate the overnight theft of a blue Dodge Caravan that was stolen from a King Street property in Hensall.

Investigators believe the mini-van was stolen sometime between 6:30 p.m. on August 3, 2016 and 6:45 a.m. on August 4, 2016. The van had been left unlocked.

The stolen mini-van is described as a blue, 2003 Dodge Caravan with a rusty bottom.

The van is valued at an estimated $2,800.

Here are some crime prevention tips for owners on how to best protect your property and reduce your chance of becoming a victim.

Lock your doors and pocket the keys when you park your car.

Always park your vehicle in a well-lit area.

If you have a garage, use it and lock the garage door as well as your vehicle.

Never leave your vehicle unattended while it is running

Never leave valuable objects or packages in full view

Always roll up your vehicle’s windows

Watch out for suspicious people or activity in your neighbourhood. Call police immediately, don’t delay; your information may help solve a crime.
