Chatham-kent Daily News Release – 23Aug2016

The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 139 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Three people were arrested.

Break and Enter in Chatham. (CK16027290)

Sometime since August 18th, 2016, unknown person(s) cut off the lock to a business compound on Park Avenue West, in the Chatham. Multiple pieces of scrap metal was taken. The investigation is ongoing.

Break and Enter in Chatham. (CK16027342)

Sometime over the last month unknown persons cut a lock off to a storage unit on Grand Avenue East, in Chatham. Musical instruments and a variety of personal items were taken from the storage unit. There are no suspects at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

Women Arrested for Assault and Mischief. (CK16027352)

Yesterday evening an argument ensued between a 40yr Chatham female and her common law husband. The argument escalated and the women assaulted her husband by punching him in the face. The husband contacted Police to report the incident. While waiting for Police to arrive the female also punched a glass window causing $100 damage. Upon Police arrival the female was subsequently arrested for Assault and Mischief and transported to Head Quarters.

The female was later released with multiple conditions to follow and a future court date.

Attempt Residential Break and Enter. (CK16027398)

Sometime between Friday, August 19th and Yesterday unknown person(s) attempted to gain entry through a window by removing the screen at a residence on John Street, in Blenheim. No damage was sustained to the window and entry was not gained.
