(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRAL HURON, ON) – On Friday August 19, 2016, shortly before 7 p.m., a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police officer observed a Toyota pickup truck pull into a residential driveway along Winthrop Road. The pickup truck matched the description provided by an anonymous caller, who advised that the driver was allegedly intoxicated.
The female driver of the pickup truck was spoken to and she displayed sigs of impairment. She was arrested and transported to the Huron OPP Detachment where she failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests.
50-year-old Bernice Irene HOFTYZER of the Township of Central Huron has been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:
Driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol).
Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood.
She is scheduled to appear at the Goderich Court of Justice on Monday September 19, 2016, to answer to these charges.
