Tires And Rims Stolen From Exeter Dealership

(MUNICIPALITY OF SOUTH HURON, ON) – Shortly after 1 a.m. on Saturday August 20, 2016, Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers on patrol in the south end of Exeter located two vehicles on a car dealer’s lot whose rims and tires were removed.

Investigation revealed that all four rims and tires were removed from two GMC Sierra pickup trucks. The trucks were located on the dealership lot on the east side of London Road (Hwy 4) just south of Exeter. The vehicles were parked on the south-east corner of the lot.

Unknown person(s) attended the lot with a large type vehicle possibly a cube style van or a pickup truck with a trailer. They sought out the darkest corner of the lot and jacked up the trucks before being able to remove the rims and tires. The jack used caused damage to the body of the vehicles and when dropped on the pavement caused damage to the brakes. Further examination also revealed that a tail gate was also stolen from another nearby pickup truck.

The rims were 22” in size, and the tires were Goodyear tires.
