(BRANT TWP, ON) – On August 22, 2016 at 8:21 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of single vehicle crash along Bruce County Road 19 in Brant Township. Officers arrived to find that a Black Chevrolet Avalanche left County Road 19 and struck a combine before coming to rest in the south ditch. Fifty-six-year old Robert FISCHER of Arran-Elderslie Township has been charged with impaired driving and operate over 80 milligrams. He is scheduled to appear in court on September 28, 2016 to answer to the charges. The driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
