Location: Colborne Street (900 Block)
Incident: On Friday, August 26, 2016 at approximately 7:00 a.m., a man attended a motel on Colborne Street and knocked on the doors of several units requesting to use the washroom. The man was frightening the people in the area as he was being aggressive and was seen holding a multi-tool. Community Patrol Officers were contacted and the man was located a short distance away and arrested. After his arrest he was found to be in possession of a controlled substance.
As a result, a 33 year-old Brantford man was charged with Causing a Disturbance, Breach of Probation x’s 2, and Possession of a Controlled Substance x’s 2. He was held for a bail hearing on August 29, 2016.

Date: August 26, 2016
Incident: On August 26, 2016 a 25 year-old woman contacted Community Patrol Officers to report a voyeurism incident. The woman advised that on August 25, 2016 she was at a residence that she has been temporarily staying at and went to go take a shower. While in the washroom, she noticed an IPad had been placed on the window sill. She thought this odd and picked it up and noticed that it was recording. Community Patrol Officers investigated and a 33 year-old Brantford man was arrested and charged with Voyeurism. He was released on a Promise to Appear with a future court date of October 7, 2016.

Date: August 27, 2016
Location: Grand River Avenue
Incident: On Saturday, August 27, 2016 at approximately 12:50 a.m. a man and woman flagged down a Community Patrol Officer on Scarfe Avenue at Grand River Avenue. They advised they had just been walking along Grand River Avenue when they were approached by an unknown man who began screaming at them. The man was accusing them of fighting him under the bridge and threatened to harm the male victim. The man then demanded the male victim give him his wallet and was given $40. The man then fled the area. A description was provided to police and on August 28, 2016 the man was located behind the Civic Centre.
As a result, a 27 year-old Brantford man was arrested and charged with Robbery, and Breach of Probation x’s 3. He was held for a bail hearing on August 29, 2016.

Location: Lynnwood Driver (0-100 Block)
Incident: Sometime between August 19, 2016 and August 27, 2016 a residence was entered on Lynnwood Drive through a front door which was forced open. At the time of the investigation video games and various household items were reported stolen.

Location: Market Street South (0-100 Block)
Incident: On Saturday, August 27, 2016 at approximately 6:15 p.m. a man attended the LCBO on Market Street South and was refused service due to suspicion of intoxication. The man was then observed to enter his motor vehicle and drive out of the parking lot. Community Patrol Officers were contacted and the man’s licence plate was provided. Officers attended his home where he was located and spoken to. The man displayed signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested for impaired driving. The accused was taken to the Brantford Police Service where he provided samples of his breath as required by law. The results were 160 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood and 160 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. The accused, a 62 year-old Brantford man was charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 mg, and released on a Promise to Appear for a future court date. The vehicle was impounded for a mandatory seven day seizure.
