(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Section has charged an Ottawa man following an investigation into an allegation of child sexual assault.
The investigation began in August 2016 when incidents were reported to Ottawa Police that a child had been sexually assaulted between January 2015 and May 2016. The assaults occurred in a residence in the 300 block of Waverley Street in Ottawa. The victim will not be identified.
Walter STARNAMAN, 57 years old, of Ottawa is charged with Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference, and Uttering Threats. He is scheduled to appear in court today.
SACA investigators are concerned that there could be other victims.
