As a result of continuing investigation in relation to the fatal collision which occurred at Highbury Ave/Dundas Street on September 8, 2016, charges have now been laid. Scott Altiman, 31 years old of Delaware has been charged with two counts of impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death and two counts of impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm as well as two counts of criminal negligence causing death and two counts of criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
The deceased have been identified as 46 year old Jerry Pitre of London and 23 year old Cody Andrews of New Hamburg.
The accused remains in the hospital in serious condition and the other two injured individuals remain in the hospital in fair condition.
