On Friday September 9th, 2016, just shortly after 10:30pm, Hamilton Police officers received reports of a stabbing at a Variety Store situated at 524 Main Street East.
It was indicated that an altercation occurred between three (3) men. While they were inside of the store, one male sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result of a stabbing. The two (2) suspects were then observed fleeing away from the store.
The area was closed and various resources attended to investigate further.
On Saturday September 10th, 2016 just shorty after 6:00pm, one of the suspects, Awais Khan turned himself into the custody of police.
CHARGED: Awais Khan, an 18 year old man from Hamilton
CHARGES: Aggravated assault, Breach of Recognizance, Fail to Comply with Probation x3
Additional arrests and charges are expected as detectives continue the investigation.
