(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A female driver from Oakville has been charged with Racing following a traffic stop that took place on September 23, 2016. Just before 7:00 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer spotted a Dodge Ram pickup truck traveling westbound on Huron Road outside of Goderich at a high rate of speed.
The officer confirmed his visual observations of the approaching vehicle with a RADAR device and confirmed the speed of the racing truck to be travelling at a speed in excess of 50 km/h over the posted 80 km/h zone speed limit. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was subsequently charged.
Marcelline ROULEAU, 34 years of age, from Oakville has been charged with “Race a Motor Vehicle”. She has a court appearance scheduled for November 1, 2016 at Provincial Offences Act Court in Goderich. Her licence has suspended for seven days and her motor vehicle will be impounded for a week.

Courts can impose a driver licence suspension of up to 10 years for a second conviction within 10 years
