(HEPWORTH, ON) – On October 7, 2016 at 3:54 p.m., a Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a suspended driver operating a white 2001 GMC Yukon on 6 Highway and Spencer Street, Hepworth, South Bruce Peninsula.
Joseph HAWKE, age 40, from Northern Bruce Peninsula has been charged with driving while disqualified, drive while under suspension, using plates not authorized for vehicle and operate motor vehicle without insurance.
The vehicle was subsequently seized for a 45 day mandatory impoundment.
He was held for a bail hearing and released on a recognizance. He is to appear at the Owen Sound Court of Justice at a later date to answer to the charges.
