On November 3, 2016, at 11:30 a.m., the Halton Police and responded to the White Oaks Secondary School, located on Montclair Drive in Oakville, regarding a student armed with a knife who was attacking a guidance counsellor.
The student was quickly subdued by staff members prior to police arrival. The guidance counsellor suffered a minor abrasion during the assault and did not require medical attention. The Halton Police have arrested two young persons in relation to this incident. The investigation is currently on-going regarding what criminal charges will be laid on the young persons.
