South Simcoe Police Daily News Release – 23Nov2016

Arrest Warrant

(Innisfil, ON) On Tuesday, November 22, 2016, around 7:30 p.m., South Simcoe Police were called to Innisfil Idealab, Lakeshore Branch in Alcona in response to a disturbance outside the library. A man was asked to leave by the library manager as he was being belligerent to citizens walking past. A taxi was called to take him home, however he still refused to leave. Officers learned that the suspect was named in a Warrant of Committal for a conviction on a charge of Fail to Comply Probation. The 57 year old Innisfil man was taken to jail to serve his sentence of 15 days in custody.

Theft Of Vehicle Batteries

(Innisfil, ON) On Tuesday, November 22, 2016, around 3:00 p.m., South Simcoe Police were called to a building site on the 6th Line of Innisfil, near 20 Sideroad for a report of a theft of batteries from large industrial machines on the property. Sometime between Saturday, November 19 and Tuesday November 22, a total of five batteries were taken.
