On November 27, 2016, at approximately 3:00 p.m., the Guelph Police entered into a sexual assault investigation in the south end of Guelph. The victim in this incident is an 8-year-old girl. As a result of the investigation, a 68-year-old Guelph male was arrested and has been charged with sexual assault and sexual interference. This male has been held for a bail hearing scheduled for November 28, 2016. Police are not looking for any other suspects. The 8-year-old victim was not physically injured in this assault.
