18 Year Old Killed In Two Vehicle Collision – Name Released

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On December 9, 2016, at approximately 4:43 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision involving two motor vehicles.

A silver Toyota car was travelling northbound on Vanneck Road, south of Nairn Road. It was crossing over the railway overpass when it travelled sideways and collided with a black Dodge van travelling southbound.

The male driver (and lone occupant) of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased has been identified as 18-year-old Jacob BLACK, from Middlesex Centre, Ontario.

The 46-year-old female driver, from Southwest Middlesex, Ontario was the lone occupant of the van. She was transported by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries, and has been discharged from hospital.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) attended the scene to assist with the investigation. As a result, the roadway remained closed between Nairn Road and Glendon Drive until approximately 11:00 p.m. on December 9, 2016.
