On Friday December 9 th , 2016 the Owen Sound Police received several complaints of a group of individuals going door-to-door wanting to look at the homeowner’s water heating system. It was also reported that these individuals were claiming to be city employees.
The Owen Sound Police warn that these individuals are not city staff and are in no way supported or hired by the city. If you encounter these individuals at your door do not let them, take note of physical descriptors and any associated vehicles then contact the Owen Sound Police at 519-376- 1234. These individuals are from a private company who operate in door-to- door sales utilizing high pressure sales tactics.
They do not have authorization to be conducting any inspections or door to door sales in our community.
