Daniel STEVENS – Drunk Driving

(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On August 8, 2015, just before midnight, Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program at Highway 40 and Longwoods Road, when a Ford Crown Victoria entered and stopped for the officers.

While officers were speaking with the driver, 29-year-old Daniel STEVENS, from Cambridge, it was determined that he had been consuming alcoholic beverages.

Subsequent tests indicated that he was over the legal limit and will appear in a Chatham court on September 8, 2015, to answer to the charge of Driving With More Than 80 mgs of Alcohol In Blood, under the Criminal Code of Canada

Chatham-Kent OPP would like to remind drivers that there is no safe amount of alcohol consumption when driving. If you consume alcoholic beverages, plan for a safe ride home by using a designated driver, a taxi or public transit to ensure that you and others sharing the road arrive safely.
