Incident: A 44 yr old male was charged with impaired driving after being involved in a motor vehicle collision and registering 4x the legal limit. Around 4:09 p.m. on September 29, 2015 police observed a vehicle on Mt Pleasant Street with major damage. The driver was not located. A short time later a call was received that a collision had occurred and the driver responsible had fled the scene. Calls continued to be received at the police station advising of a male unsteady on his feet, falling down as he tried to walk near the Veteran’s Memorial Parkway. Police attended and arrested the intoxicated man who turned out to be the owner of the first car found. A 44 yr old Brantford man is charged with being over the legal limit and fail to remain at the scene of the accident.
Type: Indecent Act
Locations: Greenwich Street
Incident: Brantford Police have charged a 57 yr old male with indecent act after a woman in her 30’s walking on Greenwich Street on September 29, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. was asked for directions by a male in a passing vehicle. As the female walked over to provide the directions, she observed the man exposed and performing an indecent act. Police tracked down the driver and charged him.
Type: Arrest- Possessing Explosive Substance

Incident: A member of the Brantford Police Explosive Disposal Unit was contacted on September 29, 2015 around 7pm after police received information that a 16 yr old boy had received items from E-bay that could be combined to create a thermite bomb”
*Definition of THERMITE. : a mixture of aluminum powder and a metal oxide (as iron oxide) that when ignited evolves a great deal of heat and is used in welding and in incendiary bombs.
The chemicals that the male received (aluminum powder and magnesium coal) were seized by police to be destroyed as when combined with other items were capable of creating an explosive device. Investigation revealed that the 16 yr old had created smaller explosive devices in the past which had damaged some furniture within his house. The 16 yr old was charged with possessing explosive substance” and sent for a bail hearing.
