Another Driver Turns In Front Of Motorcycle – Serious Life Threatening Injures

(Napanee, ON)- On September 15, 2016 at 6:45 p.m. officers with the Napanee detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a serious collision involving a motorcycle and car on Hwy 33 near Apsley Drive, Town of Greater Napanee.

Greater Napanee Fire Services and paramedics responded to the scene. The driver of the motorcycle, a 48 year-old Bath man, was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries.

Police investigation revealed that the driver of a white Mazda travelling westbound on Hwy 33 turned left into the path of the oncoming motorcycle.

OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators attended to assist with the investigation.

Charged with making a left turn – failing to provide a reasonable opportunity to avoid a collision contrary to section 141(5) of the Highway Traffic Act is 37 year-old Erin DAVIS of Bath.
