William SOJOURNER Was Arrested

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – One individual was taken into custody after a suspicious vehicle was reported.

 On September 28, 2024, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint on Lock Street, Dunnville.

 The vehicle was located, and a traffic stop was initiated.

 As a result of the investigation, 19-year-old William SOJOURNER from Ohio is facing the following charges:

• Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
• Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammo
• Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition
• Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
• Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm (two counts)
• Importing a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition Knowing it is Unauthorized
• Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was Firearm
• Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 – in Canada
• Bring into Canada Property Obtained by Crime

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on today’s date.
