(HALDIMAND COUNTY) – Police have arrested one individual in connection with a stabbing in Haldimand County.
On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at approximately 5:25 p.m., members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) were called to a Lock Street, Dunnville address for a report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, an individual was located with wounds sustained from an edged weapon and was transported to hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Jodie FENYVES, 48-years-old from Dunnville has been charged with the following offences:
· Robbery with Violence
· Aggravated Assault
· Break, Enter a Place – Commit Indictable Offence
· Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (two counts)
· Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
Investigators are looking to identify two more involved individuals and are both believed to be males, of medium build.
One individual is described to have been wearing dark pants, a dark jacket with a fur trimmed hood, a face covering and a backpack.
The second individual is described to have been wearing a grey/blue coloured plaid jacket, dark pants and a face covering.
